Dulse has been traditionally harvested for generations.
Either cook for 15 mins as a side dish, use to make soup, or flash fry till crisp for a tasty snack.

Wakame Alaria Esculenta
This Sea Veg has a wonderful mild sweet flavour.
Wonderfully nutritious and low in calories it should not be cooked for too long. It makes a bright green garnish for salads, superb in soups, or wrapped around fish when baking, or roasted and chopped it gives a sweet crunchy bite to seafood dishes.

Atlantic Kombu Laminaria Digitata
Kombu can be used as a Veg., wrapped around fish when steaming or baking. It is used in “Macrobiotic” cooking, especially when cooking beans. It makes superb stock for soups, stews and sauces.
Cook for approx 10 mins until tender. If overcooked it becomes bitter tasting. Retain liquid stock for further cooking.

Carragheen
Chondrus Crispus & Mactocarpus Stellatus
This Atlantic Sea Plant is traditionally used to make Jelly Moulds, and a Natural Nourishing Health Drink.
Take 5g of Carragheen, rinse under running water, add half a litre of milk for a mould, bring to boil then simmer for 20 mins. Add flavourings as required.
Strain and refrigerate to set.
