Kombu can be used as a Veg., wrapped around fish when steaming or baking. It is used in “Macrobiotic” cooking, especially when cooking beans. It makes superb stock for soups, stews and sauces.

I like this in casseroles, especially good for vegan casseroles, works well with carrots and other root vegetables.
Irish Kombu is great when deep fried till crispy - in a hot chip pan for 7-10 SECONDS and makes an interesting party snack.
